Pack of Dawn and Destiny by K.M. Shea

How to run with the big dogs: A review of the Pack of Dawn and Destiny series by K.M. Shea

The Pack of Dawn and Destiny series includes the following books: Hunted, United, Fated

Can an alpha and a hunter save their pack?

K.M. Shea has done it again! Introducing Pip, an adopted member of the Northern Lakes werewolf pack. Sweet and feisty, she feels like a good friend. And of course no pack would be complete without their alpha. Greyson leads his pack with confidence and absolute loyalty from his wolves. The only one who dares to oppose him is Pip- the pack’s hunter who is strangely resistant to his powers. Then again, she’s also the only one he can truly relax with.

I really enjoyed getting to know these characters. And while I know that a K.M. Shea book will have a satisfying ending, there were a handful of twists and turns I never saw coming! This series has heart and heartbreak and plenty of intrigue. I think an animal lover would especially love this series as the pack is described so well the reader gets to feel like they’ve been adopted as well!

Pip has always been on the outside…

In the bustling city of Timber Ridge, a lone hunter finds herself caught between worlds. She lives among werewolves—stronger, faster, and dangerously competitive creatures who don’t fully accept her, yet don’t see her as an enemy either. Survival isn’t easy, especially when the Pack’s ruthless alpha, Greyson, seems to take special pleasure in teasing and testing her resolve.

Greyson is as relentless as he is powerful, ruling the region’s largest Pack with unyielding authority. His incomplete mate bond is just one of his burdens, yet he still finds time to interfere in her life at every turn. Tensions rise as their worlds clash, but an even greater threat looms on the horizon.

Wolves from neighboring packs begin turning feral, attacking innocent humans with reckless abandon. Such behavior is unheard of without a cause—and all signs point to someone targeting Greyson’s Pack.

Now, with the city in chaos and the Pack under siege, the hunter and Greyson must set aside their animosities to uncover the truth. Can they face the looming danger together, or will the mounting threat tear apart everything they’ve worked to protect?

Pip and Greyson of the Pack of Dawn and Destiny series by K.M. Shea

What I love about the Pack of Dawn and Destiny series by K.M. Shea:

This series is well written and fast paced. Somehow you feel like you’re part of the pack, experiencing life right alongside Pip. The characters are memorable and the story flows well with plenty of surprises along the way.

What I didn’t love about it:

I personally am more of a kid-lover than an animal lover (hence the nine kids!) so werewolf novels tend to be a little less interesting to me than other supernatural series. That being said- I’ve read a handful of them and this is probably my favorite.

Spice level:

K.M. Shea writes a good romance without the spice. There is nothing objectionable in this series.

Language:

The language is very tame. I’d have to go back and reread to be certain but I’m pretty sure there is no swearing in this series.

Violence:

There is some violence in this series but it’s very reasonable. Werewolves seem to be more prone to violence by their very nature but to me it was never over the top.

Length:

There are three books in this series. These novels are short to medium length, around 300 pages each.

Where to get the Pack of Dawn and Destiny series by K.M. Shea:

At the time I’m writing this review, the series is available on Kindle. The books can be bought on kindle or are free with your Kindle Unlimited subscription. The series is also available in paperback form and on audible.
I hope you enjoy this series as much as I did! Keep reading! -Eva
